This is what Thanksgiving sweet potatoes should taste (and look) like. Perfectly crisp on the outside and finished with a decadent gooey pecan topping, this dish is sure to impress!

These Maple Pecan Roasted Sweet Potatoes melt in your mouth! And the textures are so perfect! No more marshmallow casseroles, this will be in the new dish highlight on your Thanksgiving or Holiday dish.

Did I mention, these are equal parts savory and sweet - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside sweet potatoes.

Looking for a lower-sugar version?

Use Maple Lakanto or skip the sweetener altogether and add 2 Tbsp. coconut aminos.

OR replace sweet potatoes with butternut squash.

Ingredients

MAPLE PECAN TOPPING

Instructions

  1. Peel, slice, and cube sweet potatoes.
  2. Drizzle oil over sweet potatoes and sprinkle with salt and garam masala.
  3. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 425ºF for 15 minutes and toss.
  5. Add maple pecan mixture and toss.
  6. Bake for an additional 10-16 minutes or until tender.
  7. Toss onions with sweet potatoes and serve.
MAPLE PECAN TOPPING
  1. Add all topping ingredients in a small mixing bowl. Mix well until combined.
  2. Meanwhile, caramelize onions by slicing onions in half and then thinly slicing into half rings.
  3. Saute for 10-15 minutes in a saucepan with desired oil of choice and coconut aminos, stirring often until golden brown.
